Lila Grace Chance

On October 7, 2012 we were blessed with our daughter, Lila Grace Chance. Lila weighed in at 6lbs, 13 oz and was 19.75 inches long. We were shocked that we had such a tiny girl! Although the birth didn't go exactly as planned, my wish to have Ryan announce the baby's gender came true. Ryan grinned from ear to ear and said very matter of factly "It's a Girl!"

 

She has been an amazing baby - sleeping long hours from the beginning and even looking adorable when she's mad.

We even started getting some social smiles!

We are Pregnant!

I'm writing this weeks before we get to officially tell anyone, but we are too excited to hold it in! On January 29th, I returned home from a great weekend of shopping, eating and getting pampered at a spa in Chicago with Mom and Dulsey. Right away, Ryan asked if I wanted to take a pregnancy test and at first I said no - too many negative tests over the last few months and I didn't want to ruin how good I was feeling after the weekend. Thirty minutes later, I changed my mind and we were so excited when the digital read-out said "Pregnant"! I took a few more tests that night and in the coming days - it was so fun to see the result!

Our official due date is October 8, 2012!
